Does any1 know where I can buy decent block ice in Townsville. (not the service station type rubish)

I get mine from the servo....that North Queensland ice. Solid blocks, not packed tube ice like the nice ice or tropical Ice. 5kg block about 3 bucks. 7 to 7 also have it. I get mine from the caltex on ingham road out at the bohle cos its on the way into town for me and they're open 24 hrs. I usually get a 10kg bag (for a slurry) and a 5kg block, lasts for ages.

oh, otherwise if you can find a cheap old upright freezer, get a couple of the catering tubs (the ones about 200mm deep 400X300mm or something. chuck the drawers fill the tubs and make your own.

yeah I usually make my own but didnt expect decent weather again so soon n now its on top of me n I dont have decent ice. Do any of the milk depots do block ice here

Go to the laundry on Ch Towers road on the right hand side heading out of town, they make their own.

IGA on Bamford Lane 4 kg Block ice for around $2.70 (ish) a bag..
