Boat Winch

I am trying to find sommeone who knows how to set up a power winch using a starter motor etc
Any help would be appreciated

Ken, this is the post i put up a while back. I have used this a fair bit including a clouple of trips to fraser since i've had it and it works great and no troubles at all yet. All up we have made 3 of them, mine in the pics on a 6m riptide, another on a 6m sheet boat, we put the power to the 5:1 shaft on those, we then took on the old mans 609 stabi, same system but put power to the 10:1 shaft on that one due to the extra weight and skidded trailer. All of them have worked great. We used recon cruiser starters and flexplates out of a toyat surf. Biggest deal is getting one of your winch shafts machined with a mounting plate for the flex plate.
