Can anyone let me know how to find out about this group? I've done internet searches without much luck and though I've been told caretaking of the lighthouse grounds is under the national parks and wildlife service; I still haven't had much luck getting info.

What's to conserve up there?

If you have no other luck, Aub Strydom is a park ranger on the island who is an ex-lighthouse keeper.
He's spent more time at Sandy than anyone else in the last ten years.
The Lavender family would also know - both Father and sons are rangers on the Island.

Gday Greyfox.

Yeah I know the place and organisation you're refering to. There is a contact person that one goes through in relation to volunteer work etc via a senior ranger and as lucky phil has referred also.

Cheers, Peter

Thanks for the help fellas. It turns out that Aub is not stationed on the island for the present. Any inquiries about the volunteer program should be directed to Sheryl Brennan, the Admin Officer at the Eurong Rangers Station and she can be contacted on 41279128. She can send info about the program and what's needed to get involved. Cheers.

Thanks greyfox. Looks like Sheryl Brennan transferred out from Cleveland, she was a marine park ranger at one stage.

I tried a few times to get on their books but you need to know someone in the hiring department or wait until someone is dead to get in.
