Locality: Brisbane River

Activity: Fireworks display, exclusion zone

Mariners are advised that the Brisbane River Festival "RIVERFIRE" will be conducted in the Town Reach and South Brisbane Reach, of the Brisbane River on the 04 September 2010.

Fireworks associated with this event will be conducted on Saturday 04 September 2010 between the hours of 1900 and 1930. "Fireworks Exclusion Zones" exist in the Town Reach and South Brisbane Reach of the Brisbane River. Ships operations will be restricted in these areas.

The Brisbane River will be closed between an imaginary line from Kinellan Point, New Farm Latitude 27° 28.52' S Longitude 153° 02.62' E projected directly south to Mowbray Park, then upstream to an imaginary line from Cribb Street, Milton Latitude 27° 28.20' S, Longitude 153° 00.56' E projecting south east to Latitude 27° 28.29' S, Longitude 153° 00.64' E between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:45 pm on the 04 September 2010.

Only those ships that are authorised and those ships with a Permit to Enter Closed Pilotage Area will be permitted within the closed area. :rifle:

Mariners are advised to navigate their vessels with extreme caution and adhere to rule 6 "Safe Speed" of the International Regulation for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea". :stop:
