Heading out from Gladstone this Sunday for a day of trolling.
Apparently the bait is everywhere and there are a few billies floating around.
One local hooked up to a 500 pounder black out wide a few weeks back.

What a trip. What great weather.
I love living the dream in paradise.
2 Yellowfin Tuna. Big Nanni. Huge Spangled. plenty of red throat.
4 nice trout including a big coronation.
XXXL. OS Hussar everywhere.
Bust offs happening frequently.
A man can die happy after a weekend like I have just had..

Still got the sorts working HDS until my Furuno gear arrives.
HDS was ok but bottom line started thinning at only 65mtrs.
Didnt pick up the tuna either.

Thanks for the txt Newbs. I was helping Mark rebuild his deck (he said 'Want to be a deckie?' "Hell yeah" I replied - must admit I thought it was going to be a bit different!!!) Anyways - good effort and some quality time with the family.

well done Newbs, glad you got some. How much fuel would we need to run up that far from 1770 or is it just too far??? Thanks again for the rouge text message late that night, loved it, glad some one was into them and enjoying themselves while I was home oncall for the rescue chopper. Well done again.. cheers Kev.

Yeah mate it is too far.
I have some very similar ground out from Musgrave and Fitzroy that I havent really had the chance to explore properly yet with the gear out.
Maybe this year, weather permitting.;D
