Have you pressure tested the gearbox to confirm thats the seal leaking??

It's easy to do IF it comes apart, quite the opposite if it doesnt :P

If you are gunna have a go at it yourself make sure you have some sort of manual. I got a good one from readmanuals.com for eight bucks. Well worth the $$$. Better than the seloc for $70.

id be checking a couple of things first if you dont have access to a pressure tester.
make sure each bung only has 1 bung washer on it. i have seen at least 10 gear boxes that have had water in them due to someone forgetting to remove the old bung washer or even only partly removing it.

secondly replace the quad ring seal where the shift shaft goes through the box. it is fairly common for them to leak from here. these dont require dissasembaly of the gear box internals to change.

lastly make sure there is no fishing line on the propshaft behind the thrust washer on the prop as this will damage the prop shaft seal
