Can anyone let me know if sand spears for water collecting are permissable on Teewah, Double Island Fraser, Moreton and the like.

I will have a look at the DPI site but thought someone may be able to help out.

I have been told they are NOT allowed any more.

Cheers and thanks
Pete

Correct, not allowed. BTW, you would not catch me using one at DI, the dunes there are one big toilet. Disgusting.

Thanks gentlemen as I suspected and thanks for the link to have a look at. Totally agree with DI - never use there. Well I now have a 12 volt pump to fit to the van and some scrap for the metal merchant.

Thanks once again to all.

Cheers
Pete

On fraser we just dug a hole, only had to get down about 60 cm, and there was the water table, easy as that, Or just go to a nearby creek, there are thousands of them

And that is why they are going to make it that you have to have a portapottie when camping at di but it will still take a lot of years to flush out.
