boat transport mackay to darwin

guys need to move a boat from mackay to darwin, have been quoted 3k, anybody know of any places that would do it cheaper or if anyone is heading up hear would be happy to do some kind of deal, would e happy throwing 2k at somebody willing to do the trip, have estimated it would be 3 days drive approx 2800km and would cost about $1000 in fuel.... any takers or know of any other companies??? thanks in advance
