Good afternoon,

The Bureau of Meteorology is holding free marine weather seminars over
the next few weeks. The presentation will cover things like:

-Introduction of a new forecasting system in NSW
-Changes to the marine forecasts & warnings
-How to use the radar effectively

The session will be a good opportunity to ask senior meteorologists any
questions about weather, climate, new services, current services etc.

See attached flyer for further details or go to
http://www.bom.gov.au/nsw/presentation/marine-flyer.shtml

Feel free to display the attached flyer, or forward this information to
anyone who may be interested in attending this event

I got all excited when I read the thread title. :D Then I saw that it was for NSW. :( Good fortune for the NSW people, though.

I wish that the BoM would run general seminars in Brisbane just on understanding the weather.

That would be a great innovative service to offer. Probably also a chance for the BoM to get direct feedback on how the forecasts could be improved for the fisherman.
