Hi Team,

I would like to bring a boat from Perth to either Sydney or Brisbane. It is a 18.5 foot bass type boat.

Has anybody done the exercise? Which freight company did you use and what was the cost?

Regards
Rob

Try contacting Warren from Goldstar boats in Perth, he has trucks coming across to the eastern states, may be able to help you out.
Mine was about $3500 to Brisbane

Maybe look into the possibility of hiring a shipping container that you can park your boat in and have it transferred interstate. From what ive read, a lot of the container transport mobs do door to door and even door to port (you load / unload).

Apparently shipping from Perth is substantially cheaper than going the other way.

Unless time is a factor I would tow the thing over. I towed my 5.2 glass Savage from Carnarvon to Melbourne without a problem and cost me nowhere near $3500. Just a thought.

Hey there,

I am guessing it is on a trailer? I work for a National Freight company ( I am not sure if I am allowed to write on here who for so I wont) and can certainly have a look for you. We've done all sorts and do some cars for toyota. Might be able to throw it on as a backload depending on your timeframes.
You can ( or anyone else for that matter who wants something sent somewhere) can send me a PM and I can shoot you an email from work with a price a timeframes if you want.
Cheers

Robman.....How have you gone with the transport? I have always found that the backloading from Perth to the east is much cheaper than the other way around.
