I am with Deek,is it a 15ft 18ft ?. I know the 18ft Stej's had three windows across the front with the centre one doubling as a hatch.

Also looks similar to the Glasscraft boats made in NZ by Cooke Bros. They were similar to the Stej's.

Alright I have some maybes. I will now go searching!!!

Cheers guys for your expertise :) Can always count on the experience around here! Love it!

Mainly looking to find specs of weight, deadrise and so forth! Reason being is it is a mates boat and I am looking to build, and to be honest I have not yet been on a boat that is so comfortable and stable in the chop! Although it does broach a bit but we should have by no means been out on that day (Not that the forecast said not to lol).

Cheers again! If anyone knows an exact please be sure to let it out :)

P.S. IT IS AN 18FT Boat :) With a 115 (20 inch leg) but rated at 140, and licensed for 6 people in smooth water.

Could be a Nova Tribune? Just guessing. I seem to remember my neighbour use to have one.

G'day,

"Finga" will know. I would like to be on commission for the number of times he has identified boat, year, the name of the person who built it, etc.

The problem is he tells everyone the answer for nothing and that means I'm on 1/10th of SFA for commission.

What is it Finga?

Novacraft Huntsman??
I don't know. I have never owned one.
I was just lucky with the rest because I have one sitting in the shed :)

Neolm, Grand Marlin, Chimo, Blaze, BM and a heap of others know boats better then me

But to me it looks like a Bertram hull with somebodies top on it.
A lot of manufacturer's in the late 70's - early 80's used the Bertram hull and put their own top on including Savage, Carribean, Coppercraft and tons more.
Here's another make of boat. Compare the bits and lines below the gunnel

it would be nice to have better pictures especially across the transom.

PS: That boat is in my shed and has a similar bottom bit ;D

The side glass on the crestcutter is bigger then the boats in question, maybe a different year of that same crestcutter?

I thought about the Crestcutter but the lines are wrong.
Here is Crestcutter's Crestcutter.
I hope you don't mind Darryl.

But it could be an earlier one I suppose.

Topside definitely looks stejcraft to me...and the cabin.
Bit stumped like everyone else.

Yeah i'll go a late 70's Stejcraft...they made a 15-16footer that also had very similar looking hull/sdies back then so maybe its a bigger version :D
Have a look abiove the gunwhale of a stejcraft sunny...lines have got to be damn close but this one looks very late 70's.

Nice looking rig.

Why not just buy it off your mate?
He reckons it's a Pongrass

Thanks again guys! yeah I should have cleared that up, he bought it as a pongrass but since having it for sale he has been told it is by no means a pongrass by some, and plenty of people are asking him! Funny though he has had it for 2 years and not even known what type of boat. Bloody good boat though.

And I would buy it but im building a 7m plate. So fishing money is dedicated to something else these days lol.

Thanks again guys.

G'day,

Told you. Finga is an expert. He should be an honorary member if there is such a thing.
