I'll be there with the family as usual. Hopefully give kitty kat and a few of the locals a run on those red ones! :P

Lets hope the weather plays the game, last year was fairly good for the majority of the comp.

Might head up the week before, just depends how work is at the time.

We have got a house close to the club Justin. No staggering up that bloody hill like last year:P .
A call the week before would be great.
Are you going to fish it this year?

I thought the weather was pretty awesome last year mark. 5 great days.

Spot 82 Never Fish Up That Way Before Looking At Going Up For The Classic Heard A Lot About It.. What Is The General Depth And Area For The Red Ones Up That Way Are They As Thick Ar The Ones Of 1770.. What Pe Tackel Flys Do You Think Would Work In These Conditions As I Was Going To Make A Order With Sean .

Kind Regards

Damn all this talk has me interested in going up for the comp.

Anthony keep the flys away from the Rainbow beach Reds will you I don't want them going quer from those pretty crossing dressing fly baits.

Should be a busy comp this year hope the weather plays the game.

Greg

Greg I think you should stay home and fish the Redland Bay comp with Foxy, you have an unfair advantage when it comes to DI Reds :P Kitty Kat this applies to you to haha.

PEtackle flys don't work what are you on about? :P

Mark will be staying next door again, so will see you up there :)

Most of the ground of Rainbow is around 50 metres, I have boated less than 10 reds in all the trips I have done off DI and boated more than that last trip alone at 1770, still lots of looking to be done off DI for me yet. :( You are better off following ReelScream than me :P

Yep we too have a house booked not far from the Sports Club. Will have the Stabi there and Luke's Cairns Custom Craft centre console cat"Screaming Seaman". It was Ivan's at one stage and Luke bought it off Nathan Dumschat so it has some red hot marks in it.

Town Planning Consultant, have my own business.... No point working hard if you can't take time out to go fishing when the weather is good ;) plus i can work from just about anywhere as long as I have my laptop and mobile phone. I typically only get out once every 3-4 weeks.... Plus i am living the worry free single life, no leave forms to fill out when I want to go fishing haha :P

So i will be working every day the weather isn't favourable for fishing :(

Scotty, you will keep mate, you will keep...

Might be able to bring some glow hussar, but I don't think Sean will have time to make any Slimeys before I leave. I'll get him to give me a few flys to take up as well, depending on what he has made at the moment. How many would you want?

Well done to Scotty ReelScream for biggest fish of the day yesterday! Spanish Mackeral going nearly 18kg, awesome effort on a very average day!!! Unfortunately no esky for you :P

Me and the parents toughed it out in 30 knots and 3 metre seas and I managed a 2.1kg Squire which was biggest for the day and 1.1kg parrot which was good enough for second place, getting two eskys in the process :P We only put four fish in the esky for the day!!! :(

Conditions again very average today, and fish not playing the game really.

Weather is looking fairly average for the rest of the comp, so not sure if we will see the big reds this year that are usually weighed in most years, sure Kitty Kat is out there as we speak trying to get some in the esky!! :)

Take your balls out of the jar on your wife's bedside table already :P

Weather hasn't been that favourable but it is fishable and there are some good fish in various areas when you know where and when to be there :)

Well done to Kezza on the biggest red tonight at around 9.1kg, you pipped me by a bit, if only the sharks hadn't stole the big ones!! Ended up with biggest snap for the night and biggest so far for the comp, have lost bigger ones on the same spot though :(
