Hey just wondering has anyone had any luck with Redclaw at somerset or any of the other dams round brisbane??, just heard a few stories from a few people that some have been cleaning up on redclaw!!, wasnt to sure to believe it or not but if they are i might have to dust off the pots and load the boat up and head off for a trip maybe i think:smiley:????????????????????

Yep, Borumba a couple of weeks ago, and North Pine off the bank as well.
Heard a whisper Sommeset was firing from a very reliable source who picked up 300 on a week end just been.

Yep, plenty in NPD, went out Friday just gone with stuart_db in the p*&%ing rain, managed 1 Bass, Stu set 4 traps, checked the Sat morning for 40 odd, a couple of horses, checked again Sunday for another 50 odd, will post a report tomorrow after I've uploaded photos, Cheers, Jamie.

Thanks mate, just "sampled" that technique with some straight from the water at NPD, missus knocked half a dozen over, mutering somethin about tastes like mud crab!

Plenty in NPD and Somerset, you just need to try a few spots and also be on the lookout for theives who steal the redclaw from hardworking people.

You will get more at night or heavily overcast days than during the daylight.

Plenty in NPD saturday afternoon, young fella and I stopped in for a couple of hours on the way home from work and got ourselves several nice feeds;D

I'll stick to rockmelon. Even if it costs $4.00 each, 1/8th of it will go into a few pots
