kevlacat 2400 prop size

Looking at re-prop my 2400 kevlacat with 2007 DF140 and the solas web site now shows 14 inch props. Can anybody help with what pitch in the 4 blade 14 inch

what have you got now and what are trying to achieve? I guess the best option would be to contact Solas and get them to do some testing on your own boat.

i have suzuki 3 blade 24 pitch props and would like to drop to a 22 pitch as can not get above 5900 rpm with a load, also in a rough sea the acceleration is slow

Give the guys at solas a call, have a chat to them, they will send you a set of props so you can test, if they dont work then send them back and get a different set to try.

Talk to Rafe at springwood marine. I am not sure what prop is on mine but it feels spot on. It is a 4 blade stainless and i think they are packaging all there 2400's with the same ones.

bros 2400 with the suzi 115's with standard props goes just fine...wtf do you want to achieve with the props on the 140's?????

From memory my 2400 had 21 inch four blades from Solas, can't remember though if they were 13 or 14 inch. Solas supply Kelvacat with all of their props so should know straight away which ones to send you. The four blades also give more lift in the rear and heaps of bite.
