Fitting a rectifier to a 2001 15hp Yamaha

Chasing a wire diagram or any advice on how to fit a rectifier to a 2001 15hp Yamaha. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mick,
Green wires connect to green wires on lighting coil which should be poking out from under the flywheel, any way around is ok as this is AC current at this point, red rectifier wire connects to positive battery post, ground the black wire to engine block and to negative battery post, mount rectifier to engine block.

hi mick, yamaha makes a rectifier fit that fits srtaight on to the 15hp , cost about 80 bucks
