Ok the past five months has seemed like a long time to pass.

I imported a 21.7 ft 2003 trophy 2002walk around and did not want to use it until i had it at a stage i was happy with.
I purchased the boat motor and trailer for approx 12k US. It cost me approx 14k AU to import to Australia.

After spending a good 20hrs on the trailer converting it to AU standards and replacing all rusty u bolts and fitting new brakes skids wiring and leds ,The springs and all other parts were removed . The springs, shackles rocker boxes etc have 3 coats of cold cal and 2 coats of rust guard hammertone carcoal . The gal rims hav 2 coats of hammer tone as well just to spruce then up. Im happy to say that part is over.

I have spent countless hours polishing the fibreglass to a great shine.

A mate Has built a removeable S/steel rocket launcher ( so it fits in the shed) also a bait board wich is yet to be finished.

I have fitted a furuno 585 with 1 kw in hull transducer, a garmin gps map 4010 with a map of east coast of Au.
A garmin 24n/mile radar and gyocompass, a icom vhf radio and 3db gain opek antenna.

I went right over the boat when it arrived to my home, this took quite some time, i only managed to find one bilge stuffed and everthing else was all good.

The engine is a 2006 yamaha 150 hp with a 17 pitch s/steel prop.

All the lights have been replaced with led bulbs.

The boat has just had the decals fitted tonite by a mate of mine Russell from rebel signs.

The engine has a clean bill of health thanks to yatala yamaha
it has 325 hrs wich 194 of these hrs are under 2000 rpm.

Thanks to all my mates for there positive and negative thougths and ideas

Here is a few pics, boat renamed MEGAbite

Good on ya mate.

WHo did you use to import the boat?

My importer was a bit on the pricey side for my 21f CC

Hey Mate,

Heres the pics.

Did you get the motor from the US also? How much was that?

Did you buy it repowered or buy the engine seperate?

Who was your shipper? In a container or RORO?

Darren i bought the boat with a 150 carbi merc on it and bought the yammie seperate for 7k Au fitted with new gauges and controls and s/steel prop

I only used a broker here to do the customs and stuff ( interport cargo services)
At Us end i used c.martin tayor and co,inc
the boat is to big for a container so it was roro.

Hey Pete,

At the moment I just have a folder of photos to show for the $$.

It's due next month. I've got a 225hp Suzy 4 banger lined up to go on it when it arrives.

Should be a bit of fun.

Getting plenty of sleep, Casey is a dream kid. Couldn't be happier.

Darren

P.S. Pete, i've got a client looking for a boat with twins. Know anyone with one they want to sell?
