I am chasing two rods similar to Snyderglas CR3126 or CR4126 for beach fishing whiting and bream and flathead. I have been prowling around the local tackleshops and BCF and BigW haunts, but nobody carries rods similar to these.
Basically they are 126 inches long in a 3 or 4 wrap and either slow tapered or multi tapered with a soft action.
Anybody noticed similar rods on the racks anywhere lately?

Ring Gary Howard, I dont have his number on hand but he does have a web site. I would recomend you look at the 4126 over the 3126 for what you want to chase.

A wilson Shoreline rod is built on this spec blank - you can get them in one or two piece, medium and low mount winch fitting. Perfect for what you want - thats exactly the outfit I use for light beach fishing (bream, flathead and whiting). BCF do carry them - well - I have seen them there. So does the Tackle Shop at carseldine, and The Tackle Warehouse at Camp Hill. (Gary Howards number is 3881 3550 - Australian Rod Manufacturers he is a manufacturer NOT a retailer). If you are on the south side I am sure the better tackle shops would also have them. (I am not familiar with the south side so others will have to advise you of the better shops there).

try Tackle Warehouse at Coorparoo first if you get the chance. I was over there the other day and they have all the mentioned variants and all at competitive prices too. Support the little guys first I say. The Gary Howard rod would be the premium obviously but the Wilson looked good too.

Forgot, Mossops at the Gabba have a good selection too. They have blanks as well.
