Yep, those who have them swear by them.
Anybody know where you get them here..in Australia??
I wonder how much postage from the US is for them at the moment??
For the price difference I'd be going for the biggest sucker.
Some more info here

I'd have one but the crab cooker burner, old kettle and the soup laddle is doing a great job at the moment.

Hi Guys

the 10lb lead melter delivered to my door $111 AUS from the "bay of e" this is the 220V international model. I priced crab cookers and all manner of melting pots and ladles and it still came to about the same.

They are the way to go.
RCBS units would be even better.
You can get them from pretty much any gun shop as they're meant for casting bullets. You could also keep any eye on the trading post.
Being bottom pour means your lead is not cooling as you pour.
If you had a look at a set of bullet moulds and priced them you'd realise how much fisho's are getting ripped off for the primitive crap we get offered!

I have one and love it for smaller sized sinkers.
Mine has two posts that suports the Molten Lead container and my snapper lead molds dont fit under it, so i am in the process of making a few adjustments...

I've used one.my brothers,we turned out 6,8 &10 balls in no time all perfectOne night only approx 80 sinkers in 1.5 hrs.Have a fan going to get rid of the fumes though.Use a 2.0mm welding stick with the flux crushed off as your wire for the hole, have a 90 deg bend on one end.Jim

Yep the nuts of a duck. You will wonder why the hell you didn't have one 20 years ago.

i got my lead melter pots at 2nd hand stores for about a dollar each, if you commercially work with lead perhaps this sort of gear is required but for a dollar i do just fine.
