Im after some advice please on the correct way to plumb the existing bait well on my Cruisecraft 550 Outsider. The existing well has a plug in the bottom that allows the tank to dain into the engine well. I have looked at some of the Bait Tank kits in BCF that have a pump with a long threaded intake tube with a nut on the end etc, but do I have to bore a hole in the transom or??? Does the pump just hang there?
Your advice you would be greatly appreciated thanks

some of the kits go through the transom (some people think this is a bad idea..., others don't mind) and others are entirely external.

look at Bias boating to see alternatives to what BCF has on offer.

Bias has stainless steel scoop pickups that you can mount a pump onto the back of the transom. Pump is a standard bilge pump for those brackets.

or you can try and copy what CC's do from factory (just find a CC owner who can show you)

Personally I would steer right away from drilling out the transom in a glass boat, because the hole needs to be glassed back up to seal the wood.

cheers
