I have been using a Minn Cota 40lb freshwater on my canoe. It is on it's last legs and needs replacing, Is it worth buying a Jarvis walker one or not......obviously it will be poorer quality, but will it be OK? What sort of price are all electrics where you are? If anyone has seen a good deal, let me know, I travel to the GC and Brissy oftenSo any prices will be interesting for me, Thanks.:D

Mate

I have a bowmount JW and so far it has been fine. For the price, they are hard to ignore.

E b a y !!!!

GOt a 55lb transom mount (cheap brand - maratime thruster or something like that) for $196 to my door!!...it has had a tough life in the past 6 months on my little tinny and has handled it OK....looks identical to a minkotta.
