The perfect tow vehicle for that floating caravan would be a White Wall ute......

I give him 10 out of 10 for having the balls to launch it and be seen in it as well.

Must be a great character building exercise to see how much crap you can put up with before you crack.

Would love to see it at the bedrooms next to some of the million dollar yachts.

I might have a go at doing something like that with my work trailer as i miss my tinnie. What i might do is F clamp some hwd posts to the wheels and batten screw some 44 gallon drums to these and hey presto then put a couple of leccies on the back of the tailgate.I would use stainless screws of course and the trailer is galvinised so no worries. What a knob.Jim

Whilst the execution is a little agricultural (at best) - that is actually a bloody good idea.

Didn't I see a similiar pic recently of a very similiar setup that was a takeaway food van. A floating meals on wheels.

I agree, while I wouldn't want to be anywhere near it (looks like it'll go down at any minute), a better executed version could be awesome!

Great for the "not too close to the tide" brand of camper

Sounds like the best place for it to me.

G'day,

It is not a good idea. It's about as stupid as Top Gear trying to create an amphibious HiLux to sail from England to France. That's why it's for sale - it just doesn't work.

But it is ridiculous enough for someone to sell to someone like Top Gear as the basis for a whole new show on sailing caravans done on a budget.

Forget Top Gear, let's prove we can be just as stupid. Hell, we could even do it as an annual event from Redcliffe to Tangalloma creating a huge boost for caravaning and a new artificial reef while we are about it. Let's do it during the annual power boat races.

Just remember this was my idea. I'm in for 10% of the takings!

White Pointer
