AT 9am Tuesday decided to hit the briney. Weather looked OK.

Got a hold of Mightyquinn ( Barry ) hit the water at midday.

Launched from Mooloolaba and an hour later was looking at the Furuno for our target fish... Pearlies.

Found them and put a few in the esky, but wind was a tad stronger than predicted and holding in the deep was an issue.

Last drift and I'm on. Weight was good but lacked fight. Almost called it for a Cobe. Few minutes later, my PB snap pops the surface. 7.27kg. Not a big one, but my best to date.

OH< yes, on stinky bait..... mullet fillet.

Motored around dropping baits here and there, but wind got the better of us.

Pulled the pin after sunset with a NE wind chopping things up.

Pic of Snap and sunset over Mooloolaba. ( Murphy's ) :-/ :-X

Well, someone has to go fishing mid week ??? :P ;D :P

Well done Mate. You would have to be happy with a fish like that. It looks like those Green Zones must be working::) :-X ;D

Good to see you getting out for a few in the middle of the week. Interesting hook positioning maybe why he didn't fight much.

yeah yeah. I was utilizing a 2 gang 9/0 VMC 9255ps. One hookset in its gob and the other in it's nose.

hewasgoinnowhere. ;D

Pearlies were mainly caught on 8/0 recurves ( circle hooks )
