Wow, that is impressive. That's up over 40% in a week. Should make Easter up there very interesting. Might even consider taking the boat up with me.

Thanks,

Phill

And according to the BOM river heights web site there's still plenty water making it's way down the Boyne & Stuart Rivers and eventually into Boondooma. I recon it will be at 100% by the weekend.

Here's the link, then click on "Plot"

I hope your right, my fingers are crossed but so far over the last 6 days BP has only gone from 5% to 19%. Barker Ck peaked at the back of Nanango on Sat night and that will be arriving there today. It's still flowing well upstream of the dam but it's tapering off now. Some more good rain this week could do the job though.
Just downstream of the dam wall Barambah Ck has been running strong as it seems to after every big rain event, if only the wall was built 700mts further downstream as many wanted at the time, BP wouldn't have 1/2 the probs it's had over the last 6 or 7 years.
Cheers

Edit - The BOM site is showing BP was rising at 3cm every 15 mins from 6am this morning until 12 noon. :D :D :D If Sunwater took their 19% reading early this morning I'm guessing BP could be around 40% by Tue morn. :D :D :D

Thanks Mike,

Awesome for all dams...everywhere.!! Fishing will be spectacular....bass barra, everything over the next few years. I have always had a soft spot for BP. had some awesome sessions over the years there. Love to see it back to its former glory!!!.

Boondoomba will be an awesome site full too!!!

Just wish poor old cressy, and Toowoomba would get some decent rain!! Maybe they can pump a few of them monster Wivenhoe bass up to Cressy thru the new pipeline!!

Cheers Steve

Yeh spot on Steve, it's looking good for a year or two at least.
Hard to believe with all that rain but Wuruma, Leslie and Coolmunda got F all as well, must of just missed their catchments.
From SUNWATER today
Wuruma - (Eidsvold) - up 6% to 8%
Leslie - (Warwick) - down 2% to 10%
Coolmunda - (Inglewood) - up 1% to 10%

Cheers

Great rain for us out here in the South Burnett. Might have to dust off the bass gear that was put into retirement. Is there many fish left in BP?

That's a heck of a lot more than Wuruma has had in it for a lot of years now though, it's been hovering around the 1-2% mark for at least 8 years that I can remember, maybe longer.

Good to see many of the dams with big inflows though.

Dave.

Hello,

Does anyone know if the main basin of the dam is still fishable and what the water clarity is like. Was planning on heading over for a couple of days tomorrow.

There's a big comp there this weekend, should be plenty of info around Monday.

Just got back, fishing was very very testing (but we still had a good time), over the whole weekend there were only 15 bass caught between 40 odd anglers. Main basin was muddy and it got worse as you headed up the dam, could take a little while to come good. Not a lot of unpowered camping room left either, could be crowded at Easter.

Well it looks like Easter is going to be spent at Boondooma again this year. :D Only taking the yaks this time. Anyone fished the dam lately and any hints? We are camping up near balancing rock on one of the properties so the main basin and wall area are not really an option.

Thanks,

Phill
