Does anyone have the vibration problem with the HDS mounting bracket? Has anyone come up with a solution? The bracket does not sit flush along the whole lenth of it , it steps up for the last 30 mm where it bends up to take the supports of the unit. This is what causes the unit to vibrate as it is not supporting the weight. As the designers on the big bucks couldn't work this out was just wondering if anyone else has. Thanks

I have a HDS 8 and dont have any problems with the bracket vibrating, getting the unit in and out of the bracket is a different story..

Why dont you run some foam rubber or carpet, underneath the length of the bracket to absorb the vibrations, might be a simple solution.

use ram arm and ball fittings and this will slow a lot of the vibration down.

Yes, same problem. I used rubber door wedges, jammed under each end of the bracket. Very professional...not really. Cured 90 percent of the vibes.

Thanks Honda your HDS 8 must have a better bracket as it is a bigger unit. Mine is a 5x, should have spent the exta money. Looks like the wedging technique is the go.

Yep, good sounder, but a bugger to get into the bracket.
