good mixed bag from the banks

headed out late sunday morning to do some tsunami fishing with bro simon and mate lindsay. left ramp bout 10am headed to ten mile for livies; no probs. Saw one of the game boats hook up to a small black, which was quickly tagged and released; after some nice jumps. Bashed our way out to southern end of the banks to fish one of my trout marks; but only managed to pick couple tuskies and hussar. Had another two hangs not much success, so sounded around for half hour or so and managed to find a nice little table top with nice show of fish. Anchored up' just as sun was going down and moon was coming up. First drop big moses perch. Second drop 6kg coronation trout. Very next drop 9kg estuary cod. Continued to bite for good hour where we managed to half fill esky{100L}. Caught first legal red for new boat, pretty stoked with the effort; prettty stoked with the day in all.

Some nice quality fish and i'd say you didn't have to many others out on the banks. Good to see you were rewarded for your efforts.

mattmost of the better fish were one yaka fillets,we got the blue maori cod and some nice moses on the plastic,(gulp grubs).
