G'day everyone,

These are just a couple of photos of my latest wrap. I'm building it back the front again and I will fit the grips after I finish the epoxy. The other photos are of the Xzoga I built a while back on a good snapper in SA. The rod was way too much for any red but it was still a good fish to break it in.

Nice work Mark.
Should look sweet with epoxy on to give it some extra depth.

I was going to say the same thing Owen. Cant wait to see the wrap with some depth in the epoxy. Is it a straight wrap or did you weave some of it? Am sitting here racking my tiny brain on the pass patern.

Thanks guys for your comments. Greg the wrap is a double pinwheel wrap left open with the only colour change between the cobalt blue and the light blue. This way you get a different coloured pattern alternating along the rod. Very time consuming but a great concept (not mine by the way).

Thanks again

I noticed the threads in the background, what brand of thread are you using? Great design, comes up a treat

G'day Ant,

Mate they are Mettler Polysheen 40#. I use mainly polyester threads now for their sparkle and lustre (and price). There is just no comparison between a wrap done in polyester and one done in rod building thread. The poly will win hands down every time (of course depending on the wrapper).
