Can anyone tell me if it is legally possible to tow a Noosa Cat 2700 with a Landcruiser 200 series. It seems to be very hard to find out how much they really weigh?

With a couple of 200s, half a ton of fuel and some goodies on board, and let's face it, you wouldn't have a boat like that without plenty of goodies bolted on her, she will be right up in the 4500kg range. Silverado, Ram, F or truck country IMO.

Thanks Krill that was all I was trying to find out. We are considering a NC2700 a KC 2400 and a Dominator 8100. Anyone have any thoughts?

Mate my 2700 weighed 3115kg with 200litres of fuel & a pair of 150 optis.Add 980kg for a noosacat gal triaxle trailer, these weights were on my certificate of survey. The boat was a long cabin ,open bulkhead model, awsome boat but not fair to compare the kc and dominator to it .you should be comparing them with a 2300 nc.I sold mine due to not legally towable with a cruiser & i didnt want an f truck.

I saw a fella at a local servo a week ago with a 2700 KC with a pair of 175 2 bangers on a triaxle, towed by a 100 Series.
I asked him the weight, and he said under 3.5. I just nodded. There was NO WAY THAT THING WAS UNDER 3.5!!!!
Cheers,

DocRog,
I own a 2700 noosacat that is a walkaround configuartion and it is 600 kilos lighter than soulfish's old in survey long-cab. so it will probably get under 3500 Kg. The cuddy cab is the lightest of them all and least money. Soulfish is right if you want to compare it should be a 2800 kevlacat...but they are definately not trailable on account of a 2.8m beam.
have a look at http://www.noosacat.com.au/2700_cud.html the hull weight is 1750KG for a cuddy soft top with the base dispalcement at 2250KG (dependant on power). A pair of 175 4 stroke suzukis weigh 431kg so the total weight would be 1750 plus 431 =2183KG i think.
Hope this helps.

A mate has a Kevla Cat 6.2. He got a weight certificate fully laden with fuel(360l). 3025kg on trailer. I think the trailer weighs 950kg.
Hope this helps
