G'day all,
I've seen a few pics and reviews of a new range Penn spin reels, the conquer and the sargus but saw my first the other day - certainly look the goods for plastics etc.
I really like the look and feel of the 5000 Conquer, 10 kg of drag out of the box, 31" of line retrieve per crank, heaps of ball bearings - and retailing in the mid $200's I reckon they will give some of the other high end reels a run for their money.
I just happen to have a spare 8-10kg rod I want ot start using that I've been swapping reels on and off but just can't seem to get the balance right. I reckon the 4000 Affinity is a little light and the 560 slammer a bit over kill so I've ordered one, it should be in in a couple of weeks, but just wondering if anyone is using them yet?
