Just thought I would post a quick update of how our barra dams are rising:

Tinaroo - now at 75%, has increased by 36,300ML since 31/1/2010
Peter Faust - now at 75%, has increased by 22,600ML since 31/1/2010
Teemburra - now at 100%, has icreased by 6,600 since 31/1/2010
Kinchant - now at 100%, has increased by 14,900ML since 31/1/2010
Monduran - now at 51%, has increased by 154,400ML and 5.8m higher since 31/1/2010
Awoonga - now at 76%, has increased by 223,600ML and 4.7m higher since 31/1/2010

Most of these dams are still rising very slowly...

In three weeks we have had total inflows into these six dams totalling 458,400ML!!

Many other dams have benefitted also - Kroombit has risen from nil to 83% and both Callide and Cania are at 25 - 26% up from around 5%. Paradise Dam is up 29% to 83% and even Wuruma has had some inflow to be at 5%...

More rain is forecast for Queensland over the next few weeks...

Some great numbers there Pete ..... Thanks

Cania certainly needed it - with the bass in pretty poor condition

Wuruma & Callide both might be worth a look next year

put 9,000 barra in there yesterday, and they have been catching them adjacent to the ramp on frogs. only to about 75cm. good to see some water in there, and hopefully sunwater continue to let barra be released into there. actually pretty nice out there at the moment.

cheers

monduran this saturday. 13,000 odd 70mm fish.

Great news Kurt - though with all the extra water 130,000 fingerlings would be better!!;) ;D

we have total chaos in the hatchery. 1 million fish as of this morning and overseas homes for only 250,00. where do the rest go....... we will be around next year with some 200 mm fish ready in september. awoonga sits at 319,000 fish as of the last hour and will be released in march. need them in before the bub is due on the 28th.
