Just wondering if anyone has got a charger from the states and if they have only USA warranty?

Worth getting to save $?

yes the ones from the USA will not work here and you can blow them up if you plug them in. You will need an invertor or makes sure you get a 240v one.

Some are multi-voltage capable of running on 110-240v.
I'd probably buy a good one locally instead.
This is the one I use:

Mate thats what i was talking about. If you buy a USA on board charger then you need to make sure its 240v. If it is not you will need an invertor or you will pop the charger the moment you plug it into the wall and sometimes it not the fuse that pops but the whole inside fry's up.

Guest have 230V chargers - see http://www.marinco.com/productline/battery-chargers

Look under

"International Bluewater / Cruising Chargers"
"International Trolling Chargers"

I think the international trolling charger models have now been discontinued, which is a pity. I have the 2620a-230 and found it to be good. They warranty their products, but you have to pay the shipping back to the US (not that cheap if you are in a hurry).

It might be worth checking a few UK sites too they're typically not as cheap as the US sites but might be for 240v stuff as it's all they'd sell whereas 240v would be a low volume specialty item for a US store
