Last out Oct 30, itching to get the boat out again.
Thought "off Noosa" would be a change, dredged the bar around 12 noon sat. :-[
Trolled out from bay to sunshine reef, lots of birds and boils on the way with one school mack in esky. Hard to get close as fish get boat shy easily.
Drifted around for a bottom bash at sunshine reef till 4pm, Col picked up a nice spangled emp and we got some other throw backs.

Threw reef pick out but had trouble grabbing bottom took 5.34klms to grab around midnight. Does anybody else have this trouble on sunshine reef (also went to north reef earlier for same trouble).

Sun, nothing floating or on the bottom. Had a troll at sunshine reef around 20 boats and picked up 3 spanish macks for our trouble + 2 hits.
Back in Toowoomba 2pm with a feed, all in all good trip.
;D

Something wrong with your anchor set up or your chain wrapping around the anchor and towing it backwards i would think but don't know how you are set up or what anchor. But sounds like you ejoyed being back on the water anyway.

Hey Snapp,

Good effort mate, nice to see quality fish like that.

That's a flamin big jighead in the emp pic (1 oz ?????) were you that deep or was there a fair current - just curious.

Cheers,

Steve

Hookinin, no checked anchor 4 times & have plenty chain.
Setup works fine off mooloolaba reefs.

Bazzzzz, only fished up to 50m but there was a fair current at stages.

Great effort from Towwoomba, good to see you got a few.

Not sure about the anchor, I have a mate fishes out of noosa and has no problems on those reefs.

I have never done that good out at the banks in Summer, but i think you need to know where to go because there is always reportd of good fish being caught.(so if anyone wants to give me some marks i will gladly except lol)
