I want to post a self inflatiable life jacket to Brisbane, how do i remove the inflating cylinder so i can send it . The jacket sat in the cupboard for 12 months and needs servicing which will be done in Brisbane. Is the capsule under pressure or can i just unscrew it or do i have to inflate the jacket then unscrew it . The brand is a Jarvis Walker watersnake hope someone can help thanks

The cartridge contains CO2 under pressure however it is safe to remove it. Should unscrew by hand. Or you could inflate it to check that it works & does not leak. Once the CO2 cartridge is removed it loses its "Dangerous Goods" status & can be sent by mail. Once serviced, it will have to be returned by road freight.
It may well be cheaper to buy a complete new life jacket than pay the service fee plus the freight to Cairns.
No body local able to service it?
