Had mine for coming up to 10 months used in both salt and fresh water no real drama's just watch the salt spray with innox ect every so often to keep things clear and lubricated

G'day

I've been abusing mine for arond 2 years, no worries. The after sales support is supposed to be excellent.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT skimp on the battery

Mate, I too bought one from local Tackleworld outlet. First thing I noticed was that the motor was wired backwards and that motor went in reverse. Boys replaced it quick smart and was the first time they had ever seen it. Have had it now about 16mths. Never had an issue. Only thing is NO autopilot. But you soon get used to it. Same as most, has seen both salt & 90% fresh. Release mechanisms need a lube everynow and then. Apart from that i'd prefer to go through 2 for the price of the MinnKota.
