Decided to make my front deck bigger and put a sounder on the front.

I found it annoying to keep going back to the main sounder and having the depth/ structure 4.5m away form where i was standing. Many a time i would have a look at the sounder and see 3m of water and by the time i got back the front was banked.

So here is my new deck and sounder.

Very flash job, well done. I don't want to be a smart ass and I stand to be corrected but isn't the transducer mounted backwards on the leckie?? does it make a difference??

Pete.

Yes it is backwards but does it make a difference.

The speed wont be an issue i wouldn't have thought.

How often will the motor be in the straight ahead position?

To be honest i wasn't sure which way to put it and this was the most snug fit.

If it doesn't work or people tell me the advantages of running it the other way Ill spin it around.

Hi Daz,

The newest deck just in front of the console took roughly 2 solid days. It is fully removable so i can still take out the factory 3/4 bottom deck for cleaning.

The sounder box took a day.
