Hi Guys,

Planning a trip out of the Gold Coast through the Seaway. Never been through there before. Any sugggestions on suitable boat ramps in the area?..( 17' 1/2 cab).
Also, any channel in particular?...I think I have read here that the northern channel through the Seaway in the more viable..

Probably hit the 24's or 36's for a scout around. Should be a bit closer then the usual trip out of Cleveland and out through the south passage anyway.

Thanks
Aussie

Aussie, I use the boat ramp next to Seaworld as there is two ramps there and a large carpark. As for the Seaway use the Southern side as the northern side is a bit shallow

Yep, that's the one......(Seaworld Drive is it ??).........something.

Good ramps, heaps of parking.
If you're there early.....................there's even more. ::)

5 minutes and you're outside.....and away.

Watch for kids paddling boards across the Seaway, :o
Watch for Jetskis, especially when you're coming back in....some nutters there.

Bring us 1 or 2 back Snapps, willya ??? ;);D

No pressure, around 70cms will do. :-*

Aussie9,

I come from Brisbane and have used the Grand Hotel Ramp all the time, far closer than the Seaworld ramp BUT would get full quick on a good day if not early!

Have a look in Google Earth, I will attach a photo.

OH, don't park under a light pole, the birds poop all over your car, real bad!!
