This comments came from an article on brisbanetimes.com.au about the new bridge to redcliffe:
Jodie Wilkinson from Kallangur said she had been fishing from the old timber bridge for the past four or five years and said she would be sad to see it closed.
"It is a good fishing spot. You don't catch big fish out here, but it is all in the fun," she said.
"It is going to be a little crowded, because now we can all spread out. I think there is going to be a lot of tangles."
Jamie Togyer from Petrie said he did not find out the old timber bridge would be closed down until this morning.
"It's a good fishing spot, everybody uses it. It doesn't matter if you don't catch anything or not, it's just a good day out," he said.
