I'm looking for a place to buy some 4ft trailer skids. I want the teftlon blocks ( similiar to pine studs). Where is the best place to buy on the cheap.
i have considered pine with plastic skids. - but they wont' last long
Brisbane area is fine.

There is a pro fisho that operates out of Stanage bay and his trailer has long skids either side with 40mm black poly pipe screwed to the timber runners. Talking to him he says he gets zero damages to his boats since changing to the poly pipe. The poly pipe absorbs some of the impacts that corrugated roads deliver to the boats hull. It has enough strenght to not collapse and supports the boat well and is super slippery.
I changed my tralier to a similar setup and I must say it makes a big lot of difference in how gently the boat travels on the trailer and launching is much easier than hard style running boards.
