Here are a couple of photos of the waters around Hutchies yesterday. The Dollies were caught on skirts predominately blue Pilchard in colour.

The last photo was taken as “Raging the Game” brought another Dolphin Fish on board. (Thanks for the help Joey).

Joey, Send me a PM if you would like to have the other photos.

Oh for Pete's sake. What time did you pull those, Frank? We had 0 from 1 hookup, and that hookup was small. Managed to jag 4 fish on jigs, but trolling was the job of the day and it was ordinary...

Cheers,

Tim

Nice fish there Frank. I was out there with Timiboy and I only managed a goat fish on the bait jig.

Frankoo,
Good to see some of the trailer boat boys getting amongst the fish with all the big boys trolling around. Sound like there where heaps of boats up there by the radio chatter all morning. It was quiet down towards point lookout but so was the fishing.

Hi all,

Thank you for your words of encouragement.

Hi Tim,
They seemed to be all around Hutchies. Last year we couldn’t catch any and this year they are everywhere. It was good to at least say gidday to you even though we didn’t meet.

Hi Scotty,

Tammy was pretty excited, especially on 8 kg. We have just converted all the reels to 8kg so this is pretty new to us after using 24kg.

Hi Brissy Boy,

Yeesss!!! I remember when I had a good body like that... or maybe I was just dreamin!!!

Hi Indy,

Hutchies has really become very popular lately with up to 20 boats fishing there at any one time. Thanks for the weather report mate.

Hi Angla,

We have switched to some very fine and sharp hooks to try to allow extra penetration. Maybe that could help.

Hi Andrew,

I think there are still a lot of people a bit concerned about crossing the bar in sloppy weather. Me included.

G''day Frank OO

How are you mate? Some time ago I met up with one of your relations living over at Shailer Park, he showed me a few tips in cast netting.

Nice to see good dollies. Nice big bugger at that too.

Would love to go and get some myself but no charter boat is interested.

Been about 6 years or so since I last caught one.

Bondy,
Get onto Smithy, I assure you he will be interested in a charter to take you out to get a Dolphin fish, and just about guarantee you to get you one on.

Cheers,
Myles
