Down the Burdekin here in the last few days the rains have fired up the upper steams and rivers. Checking out a few local spots in the early morning and late afternoons have paid off dearly. Having caught 14 barra and dropping 4 in quick sessions is a good sign to come. With the fish ranging from 450mm to 1100mm all silver colour and in solid condition. Where i live we have only had about 60mm of rain, so more will raise the water levels to bring on more of these numbers upstream. Would like to here from fellow qld's who have taken to this opportunity of the weather.
