Russel.john and myself left mooloolaba about 5am and headed out to the marlin grounds and started to tow skirted lures one small xmas tree and one blue soft squid.before long we had 6 dollies landed 5 of which where about 580mm long and one that weighed at 5.7kg.
It went slow so with beautiful conditions headed off to the banks and dropped some floating pillies down on the drift as there was no current and no wind they went straight down.
Not long after russels rod was buckled over and after a good fight he landed a 7.6kg snapper and 970cm long.
We managed 5 snapper 1 dollie, 3 pearlies and 1 parrot in total.
the conditions where glassed out and a great trip to remember.
cheers mark

Nice Mark. Good to see a realistic snapper weight line up with its length! ;-)

Sounds good, moved into the new house ten weeks ago and finally getting on top of things so can get back to some fishing. The boat forgets what water is but has a good home now. Will call in sometime and have a chat.

On Yandina-Bli Bli road a coulpe of kms from the yandina end. It's nice and central and can be anywhere on the coast in 10-30 minutes.
