Members,

I recently installed a new Raymarine DS500 sounder with a P58 transducer. I was able to use the same holes as the previous transducer to mount it with and I have adjusted it down as far as I can with the current mounting holes. It looks to be down far enough, but obviously isn't as I don't get speed above 10knots.

I would like to drop it down further without drilling anymore holes in the hull. I have considered mounting a large plastic block on the transom and screwing the ducer into that, but was wondering if anyone can offer up any other solutions, maybe posting pics of them. Is there a website that I can look up that sells adjustable transducer brackets?

Cheers,

Redrocks.

If your going to use a plastic block how about a plastic bread board light strong and cheep.

Thanks Fez, that is basically what I'm after, but was looking to see if anyone had made a custom version of this that is a bit sturdier.
