Hi,

I'm actually looking at buying a 1600 Tournament, just waiting for a decent one to come up. I have ready plenty of very good reviews of both the 1600 & 1750. There are some videos availabe on thier website...

Cheers

Yea I rang up about the 1750 a few weeks ago but the owner said he has taken a holding deposit on it.

Great value for money boat IMO

Give jeffo off here a p.m. His father inlaw has a 1600 i think. Good little boat ive seen it out in some ordinary conditions and it cruised along very well.

hey bulldog, i cant speak for the tournaments but i test drove a yaltacraft 555 when it was blowing about 20knts and it rode extremely well. They are less stable at rest than a platey the same size, this is due to the sharp 22 deg deadrise. But this dead rise make these boats ride awsome in the rough stuff.
I have ordered my 555 with a 150hp yammy four banger on the back. The wait is killing me.

hope this helps

bulldog, i havnt owned a yammy 4 banger but a few mates do and they have been faultless. I have owned an e-tec i had a few minor dramas with it and then put a piston through the block at under 12 months old. I didnt have a drama with the replacement donk, they are awsome on fuel but so are four strokes. E-tecs have by far the best marketing team of any outboard company but in my opinion if you look past all the yanky hyp and chest banging there are better outboards to throw your hard earned at.

hope this helps

Yalta 555 because it has traditional dead rise and one of the larger cubic capacity 4 strokes instead of the e-tec.

cheers fnq

bulldog if you can stretch the budget you wont be dissapointed with the 4 stroke, the yammy 2 strokes are tried and tested, but the technology on these donks hasnt changed for years. They are reliable but suck heaps of fuel, are noisy and smoke more than bob marley ( but so does any brand carby 2 stroke) . My rig should be here within the next couple of months, there was alot on order coz they sold a heap at the brissy boat show.

bulldog i was lucky enough to get hold of a bloke through a mate to test drive a yalta in cq where im based. We get real crappy washing machine like conditions inshore here when its blowing. In 20kts wind when i test drove this boat it rode really well and seemed the faster you drove it the better it went. Mine is meant to be here next week cant wait to deck it all out.
