Bow mount pad

Hi Guys

I have just bought a new 420 proline angler and wanted to put my bow mount 54lb watersnake on the end as you do, however the hull i bought does not have a bow mount pad on it i am thinking of making my own has anyone done this themself if so what were the goodies you used, measurements etc

any pics and info would be awesome

hey tony will take some pics for you tommorrow mate but i used 2 pieces of 5mm ally since i dont have a cnc machine handy i made it to the size of the qwik release mount but 4cm longer so i could put the two aft bolts through a strenthner that was already in my boat but otherwise i would say use a sandwich type fit so to spread the load.

yep click the link these are the ones i make! you can have it where ya want, this guy wanted it to the side. notice the bow rail has been cut and shut to make it look like the pad was ment to be there. see the length of the other side , this side was same length.

Thanks Heaps for the pic's that is a nice simple way to do it, i like simple i will keep this in mine however shano's idea is what i am chasing depending on the work required as we are about to find out

as you can see above you have the idea i am after can you give me exact details on what the stuff is you used to create that baby, alloy thickness, lenght of plate, how you made the sides what out of etc.
any info you could provide would be awesome
