Look at the positives, same fish less water. Should make the job easier.

we will have to invest in a spear prop before our next trip have been lucy so far hit plenty of submerged stump with no damage (yet) just a matter of time.

Hi Peter i refuse to lock my motor down there if i hit a stump at least some of the force will be taken off as the motor jumps up but a new prop would be a wise investment

that sounds bad how do you protect yourself when you have the trim and tilt is there a way of setting up the motor to take the concussion i have a 2008 60hp 4 stroke yammy

i have hydrolic assit trim and tilt if i want to use it but the boat is set up to plane when down if i want to get just the arse of the boat in the water i trim it up 1cm and lock it into place but with so much timber coming out the water i find it is better not lock the motor as if you do it was take the full brunt of the initial hit before letting go less risk of doing a leg

Hard to say, the skeets are still doing it at pace, up Bass Straight at least! Personally, Im glad I own tin, the last 2 trips Ive ridden up and over some timber work that was a little "interesting" to say the least.

Pack a spare prop, split pin, and tools to change it, its a long way home on the leccy.

Chrome Alley, another 4% baby ;)

Thats it pete my last trip when i got to the end of bass straight i backed off to just sitting on the plane takes a lot longer but less fuel and less chance of smashin a prop

HTFU mate, you'll never get there at that speed ;)

Nah, good advice, slow down, GPS plot lines arent worth 2 knobs of goat poo at the moment.
