I am reserching the purchase of a new boat .I am intrested in a allycraft fish mate CC
the price is good for what you get but most packages are for a 30 hp (2 cyl) motor
I am intrested in a 40 hp tilt and trim
however the package price goes up by $5000 can this be right a motor is a motor::)

it sounds a bit expensive, BUT, you are getting a bigger motor, power trim, probably electric start (the 30 is more than likely a pull start) that then needs a battery and wiring, so you need to compare what you are actually getting when comparing prices over one package to another.

The 30 hp is elect start and the centre console is fitted standard with controls :-/

in that case 5 grand does seem just a tad much, but just for fun, try pricing the motors on their own, and see what price you get, like as in, a 30HP electric, then a 40HP electric, then a 40HP with power trim, that should give you the price difference (well round about) make sure of course you are comparing the same brand and operating principal ( 2 stroke and 4 stroke)
