Looking at getting one for my new boat;

Wondering what the difference is between the 2 models.

Motorguide SW55 Wireless series

Minn Kota Riptide RT55SP/FP/AP 54”

Any help & advice would be great! ;D

Hey Mate,

I dont have any experience on the Motorguide, but I do have the Minn Kota model you have listed, awesome bit of gear especially with the co-pilot.

Haven't had it long but very impressed so far.

Hi Mate, I run a 54lb watersnake on my 4.2 Stacer nomad and its great for the money $700. Has no auto pilot but i read you can get watersnakes now with it for around $900.
Cheers Bill.

My foot control pedal on my Minn kota has been back to BLA 4 times and is about to go back for it's fifth.

Bloody shithouse.

I've got a Minn Kota 55lb on a 4.2m tinnie. Does the job no worries. Can't comment on the other two as I haven't used one.
