Hi Mr Fisher,
What size reel are you after/what's it's purpose?
I've recently found that you really do get what you pay for when it comes to reels. 18 months ago, I was very happy with my $100 reels, then I was really happy with my $150 reels, then $200 reels... Thinking that they just couldn't get any better, I just bought a Sol and a Heartland XA... Wow!
Anyway, at that price point there are still going to be reels that'll do the job and be nice to use. Firstly, I'd really recommend being patient and waiting for a reel being sold at a massive discount, you'll get a better reel for your money.
Other than that, I'm still quite fond of my Okuma Hardstone (<$100).
Good luck!
