Good read thanks. I agree, they are a great ride. I've got the v17c, it's hard to find much info on them. I too was curious as to how heavy my boat is? I tow it with a landcruiser ute, but have often wondered if the commodore station wagon could do it.

Mate the commodore should do it no problems. I towed a V16C 1972 model with at VT S V6 Manual and it towed nicely...it didnt have a problem at the ramp either.

robbo u should be able to tow that easerly with a v6 1 tow my boat with a falcon 6cyl with no problem

I towed my 17r with 6cyl Falcon for ages. Even a 1500km run at one point. Did it fine.
Easier than my Prado tows the current 635l Actually.
