It is a very sad day for many within the ranks of Australian Volunteer Coast Guard, VMR, the boating industry as well as many boaties who knew this great gentleman.

Malcolm Olding, past Flotilla Commander, Deputy Flotilla Commander as well as host of other positions held over his very long service with QF3 Redcliffe, passed away last night, Wednesday 28/10/2009

He will be sadley missed by many.

May he rest in peace.

May he rest in peace.malcolm will be sadly missed by me as he was a very helpful and considerate gentelman of the coast gaurd, ive known malcolm since 1985 and have great respect for his devotion to the coast gaurd and the great job he done. farewell old mate.

Have only known the big fella for a short while.

He was always a good natured and good humored gentleman.

We will miss you showing up for lunch on duty weekends.:'(

He was a great supporter of getting the message out regarding SOLAS

Safety of Life at Sea

Hence why he endorsed QF3 MROCP to get that message out via Ausfish..

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this one. The funeral service for Malcolm Olding will be held over at the Albany Creek Crematorium on Thursday 5th November 2009, commencing at 11 am. Members of the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard are requested too be there by 10.30am to form a guard of honour for the this very fine gentleman. Malcom was a 30 year plus serving member of the AVCG at QF3

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this one. The funeral service for Malcolm Olding will be held over at the Albany Creek Crematorium on Thursday 5th November 2009, commencing at 11 am. Members of the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard are requested too be there by 10.30am to form a guard of honour for the this very fine gentleman.

Malcom was a 30 year plus serving member of the AVCG at QF3 right up too the very time that he passed away.

WOW what can I say But heck that sure was a very fitting send off for our great mate. I am privledged to have known the great man and aso too have been one part in such a great send off. Huge thank you too all those who attended. Malcolm will be in my thoughts often.
