Fibreglassing help

I am putting in a wooden boxed (storage)seat in my centre console tinnie. What materials should I use? Glass and Poly and what the best way to coat this marine ply? Also what paint do i use to paint it?

Use only epoxy resins, polyester isn't waterproof. the type of glass you use will depend on what type of ply/timber you use, generally a 350gm double bias should be plenty. get a filling/fairing compound to make it nice and smooth when you go to paint it, or a high build primer should suffice.
